The December FOP meeting will be on
The final reading of the motion with the below changes will be held during the December meeting on Wednesday, December 2nd at 7:00PM.
At the November meeting a second reading
was conducted of the proposed changes to the political endorsement
procedure. These changes include; 1) Candidates must notify the
Lodge's E-Board or endorsement committee of his/her desire for the FOP
endorsement no later than 5 days after the filing deadline. 2) The Lodge
will endorse in this race UNLESS the vote, at the very next monthly Lodge
meeting, by a 2/3rds majority of those in attendance says there will be
no endorsement made in this particular race. 3) Members who are working
their respective jobs the evening of the endorsement procedure will have
a vote prior to their shifts, at the Lodge if they contact an E-Board
member with their desire to vote. ...and 4) Only questions submitted and
approved by the endorsement committee will be asked during the endorsement
procedure and only after the candidate has had an opportunity to review
the questions. There will be no "blind-siding".

If you have an opinion on the lodge making political endorsements that you would like heard, you need to attend the December meeting.

During the September meeting, the members in attendance voted to endorse Rob Sharrer for COZ Mayor.
During the April meeting, the members in attendance voted to endorse David Tarbert for COZ Law Director.
